about

"The dailies" is the second single from "Victims of the avantgarde", The Kiss That Took A Trip's long awaited fourth album. It features the title track, a gentle reflection on life in general and all the struggles we all may encounter sooner or later, and a song that is tributary to a few well known classic pop acts, except for its electronic coda. The maxi-single also includes the reworkings of two old demos The Kiss recorded in 2009, now with an updated production and sounding as they intended to do. "Hello, America" is the vocal-based evolution of oldie "Hi, America!" and "City in decay" is an ancient exercise in post-rock that takes its first steps with a western sounding acoustic guitar.

about

The Kiss That Took A Trip Madrid, Spain

The Kiss That Took A Trip is a musical project conceived by M. D. Trello in 2006.

Musically, it can be described as a very lo-fi effort, based on tunes that try to recapture the importance of melody and atmosphere over technical proficiency and radio-friendly formats. The sound mixes rock, pop, post-rock, easy listening, ambient, new age, noise and dissonance. ... more
