This release is intended to work as an appetizer for the fourth album, and it features the first cover The Kiss has ever recorded, a slow and industrially-tingled technoacoustic rendition of ‘Goodbye horses’, originally performed by Q Lazzarus in the 80s.

As a surprise gift, a brand new song that is profuse on vocals, by The Kiss’ standards: ‘Immune to friendship’, a downtempo based on lots of intertwining plucked strings on top of a steady rhythm that drives the song towards a disguised chorus reminiscent of the 90s.

The Kiss That Took A Trip is a musical project conceived by M. D. Trello in 2006.

Musically, it can be described as a very lo-fi effort, based on tunes that try to recapture the importance of melody and atmosphere over technical proficiency and radio-friendly formats. The sound mixes rock, pop, post-rock, easy listening, ambient, new age, noise and dissonance. ... more
